Corruption in Sindh is rampant: SUP

Hyderabad—The central leader of Sindh United Party Dr.Dodo Mehri has alleged that corruption in Sindh province is on rise because of the incompetency and irrespective attitude of leaders of various political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party.
Talking to media persons here at Hyderabad Press Club on Tuesday, Dr. Dodo Mehri said that corruption in all sectors of life has brought the lives of common people miser-able while the other hands, it improved the living standard of the influential persons including politicians.
He claimed that an amount of Rs 186 billion is being released every year in respect of salaries and allowances of 108 Members Sindh Assembly but they have no intention to improve the socio economic condition and living standard of common people of the province.
Majority of the political parties have been engaged just giving assurances to people of their better future instead to work in practical for their betterment, he alleged.
The PPP has almost lost the sympathies of the people of Karachi and it was the reason that it gained success only few seats in the last elections and now its non-popularity would kick it out from the politics of Karachi in the next general elections, he said and added that because of the ineffective policies of this party, the poverty and unemployment are at high scale while agriculture sector of the province has been pushed hundred years back during last eight years.
The leadership of political parties have still time to strive for the betterment of the masses, otherwise their political role would be eliminated from the politics of Sindh, he warned.—APP
