Karachi—Karachi Corps Commander Lt-Gen. Naveed Mukhtar on Tuesday called on Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan and discussed law and order.
A statement issued from the Governor House said that the law and order in the province especially in the metropolis and the Karachi operation were discussed in-detail.
The two agreed that the operation would continue till the elimination of terrorists and all the resources would be utilized for this purpose, the statement said.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over the increasing trend for foreign investment in the province after the improvement in the law and order situation.
It was also agreed that the foreign investors would be provided every facility as well as security and that the investment environment would be made more conducive. Tributes were also paid to the personnel of Pakistan Army and other law enforcement agencies.
Talking to Director General Anti-Narcotics Force Maj General Nasir Dilawar at a meeting the Governor said elimination of narcotics from the society is one of the top priorities of the government.
The ANF chief apprised the Governor of the steps taken by his organization for the elimination of narcotics from the province. Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan appreciated the role of the ANF in this very regard.
He was also appreciative that ANF was playing a role for the treatment of the addicts and assured every cooperation in this regard.
