Conference on fire, safety, security, health
Islamabad—The 12th International Fire, Safety, Security & Health Exhibition and Conference held at Pak-China Friendship Centre Islamabad on safety and resilience for safer cities in Pakistan is in progress.
Speaking on the occasion, Rescue 1122 Emergency Services Academy DG Amir Hamza highlighted the important role of emergency services in planning for disaster preparedness, effective response strategy, collective efforts for rehabilitation and recovery phase of disaster.
He emphasized on contribution towards safe and secure country as it was the responsibility of all stakeholders like public and private institutions along with community at grassroot level.
He appreciated the services rendered by Dr Rizwan Naseer (SI) Founder DG Rescue and also explained audience that many emergencies could be prevented by effective planning and enforcement of laws at proper level particularly implementation of life safety standards to ensure fire, building and road safety.
Amir Hamza visited all stall established in the exhibition and appreciated Rescue 1122 team for awareness stall.
Earlier, Major General Asghar Nawaz, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority, lauded Rescue 1122 and visited Rescue 1122 awareness stall.
Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Secretary General Pakistan Red Crescent and Amir Khanzada presented honoury shield to Director General Brig (Retd) Amir Hamza. The International Exhibition & Conference started from 1st March to be concluded on March 3.
