Construction work of roads in Karachi to begin next week: Administrator

Karachi—Administrator of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), Liaq Ahmed said that construction work of 6- Kilometers road leading Lucky-star to Quaid-e-Abad would be commenced from next week.
He said this while speaking on the occasion of the reception organized by Bin Qasim Association of Trade and Industry here on Tuesday.
In addition to this, the construction work on 12 kilometers road leading from Quaid-e-Abad to Steel Mill would be started soon and the scheme of Rs 2.25 billion would be supported by JICA, he said.
The international standard of work would be maintained where international companies would be given an opportunities to this project, he added.
Administrator Karachi said that the work of fly-over of Malir-15 would be completed soon and besides, directives had been issued to complete work of fly-over at Malir Halt.
Appreciating the role of business community, he said that they were playing very important role in contributing national economy.
He also assured to take up the issue extension of route to Bin Qasim industrial areas where the workers were facing hardship while commuting there daily basis. Officials of KMC and members of Association were present on the occasion.—APP
