Complete ban on import, use of Sheesha in Sindh recommended

Standing Committee on Home Ministery Sindh has recommended to impose complete ban on import and usage of flavored and none flavored smoking Sheehsa on the directives of the Supreme Court (SC).
Meeting of the Standing Committee on Home Ministry was held in Sindh Assembly building on Tuesday to consider the government bill no 15 of 2016, “The Sindh Prohibition of Sheesha Smoking Bill.”
Chairman Standing Committee Awais Qadir Shah chaired the meeting attended by Law Minister Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar, MPAs Mohammad Ali Bhutto, Sumeta Afzal, Ghulam Qadir Chandio, Saleem Rajpoot, Dr Abuja Dad Dahri, Secretary Law, Special Secretary Health, Secretary Sindh Assembly and other officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Law and Prisons Sindh, Zia-Ul-Hasan Lanjar said that other provinces had already imposed ban on Sheesha on judgment of the SC, so our standing committee has recommended complete Ban on Sheesha smoking from today with consensus and the bill will be send for legislation to assembly the bill and then it will be implemented across the province completely.
