Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Rawalpindi Dr Fayyaz Ahmed has said that collective efforts of all the departments concerned along with the people are needed to fight dengue virus. Talking to APP, he said precaution was better than cure so the citizens should come forward and adopt precautionary measures which would help eliminate the dengue disease.
Giving credit of better health facilities to the citizens to Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Shairf, Dr Fayyaz said up-gradation of the public sector hospitals and provision of free medicines to the patients, besides concerted efforts of various departments, had shown good performance as compared to the last year. To a question, he said the stakeholders, who had demonstrated performance particularly in eradicating dengue, were pride of the department and would be appreciated and encouraged.
He said all available resources were being utilized to treat dengue patients in Allied Hospitals including Benazir Bhutto Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital.—APP
