Cold weather to persist over weekend

Amman—A tangible drop in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday, bringing relatively cold and partly cloudy skies and drizzles across the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Similar conditions are expected to prevail over the weekend with clouds at various altitudes and easterly to southeasterly brisk winds. Clear and cold nights with frost formation are also forecast over the hilly areas, plains and the desert region, the JMD said. Temperatures expected in the capital for today will range between a high of 12 degrees Celsius and a low of 5 degrees at night, while in the Gulf of Aqaba they will reach 24 degrees during the day and drop to 15 at night.
The Quetta Met Office has forecast a dry and very cold weather for the provincial capital during next 24 hours. On Wednesday, the highest maximum temperature 12 centigrade and the lowest minimum 00 centigrade were recorded in the metropolis. The dry weather has been forecast for rest of the region.
The Karachi Met Office forecast sunny weather with misty morning for the metropolis for the next 24 hours. An official said that the minimum temperature is expected to remain in the range between 14 and 16 degrees Centigrade with 45 to 55 per cent Humidity during the period.—APP
