CM takes notice of child birth outside hospital

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif Friday took notice of a news about the birth of a child outside the Medical Superintendent Office at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and sought a report from the health minister and the secretary.
He has also ordered for investigating the matter and submitting a comprehensive report on the incident.
He said that after THQ Hospital Raiwind, the incident that occurred at Ganga Ram Hospital is tragic and cruelty with the ailing humanity.
The persons involved in the incident will be held accountable, he added. Meanwhile, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique suspended Sir Ganga Ram Hospital’s emergency director Dr Abdul Ghaffar after the incident of a woman giving birth to a baby boy outside the hospital.
Speaking to the media at the hospital, the minister said that a three-member inquiry committee has been formed by the chief minister to probe the issue. The committee would present its report soon, added the minister, who had reached the hospital after receiving information about the incident.
Meanwhile, the woman was shifted to the ward and doctors were looking after the mother and child.
