Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar presided over an important meeting at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam today to review the overall situation of law & order in the province. He was given a detailed briefing about law & order situation.
Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister said that every possible step should be taken to protect the life and property of the people. He directed that concerted efforts should be made to further improve the law & order and made it clear that protection of the masses will be ensured. Indiscriminate action should be continued against violators of law and police should efficiently perform its duties to curb the criminals, he added.
Similarly, security of important places should be made stricter. Law Minister Raja Basharat, chief secretary, IG Police, ACS (home) and high officials of law enforcement agencies attended the meeting.
Moreover, Sardar Usman Buzdar has paid rich tributes to the bravery and courage of Capt.
Zarghaam Fareed who embraced martyrdom while defusing the landmine in Mohmand Agency. In a statement issued here today, Chief Minister extended heartfelt condolences to his heirs and prayed for early recovery of injured sepoy Rehan. Chief Minister said that another brave officer of the Pak-Army has sacrificed his life for the beloved motherland and whole nation is proud of his courage.
The nation will never forget the great sacrifices rendered by brave sons like Capt. Zarghaam Fareed as they have written a history of courage with their precious blood. Martyrs are, in fact, the pride of the nation and their sacrifices will never be forgotten, the Chief Minister concluded.
