CM inaugurates Spring Festival 2022 at Jillani park CM felicitates on Baloch Culture Day

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated Spring Festival 2022 at Jillani Park today and also visited the Art and Craft Village.

He inspected various stalls being displayed over there and also inspected traditional food stalls.

Usman Buzdar expressed his deep interest in handicrafts stalls and was presented with handcrafts souvenirs on behalf of artists. Balochi, Sindhi, Saraiki and other cultural stalls are also a source of keen interest for the visitors in the Art and Craft Village.

CM remarked that Spring Festival has become a part and parcel of the cultural heritage of Lahore. Spring Festival gives a message of bliss and hope to everyone and such positive activities provide healthy recreation, he added.

He underscored that the PTI government has always promoted tourism, culture and sports across the country. Usman Buzdar disclosed that Spring Festival will continue till 31st March and many programmes are being organized for the robust and spirited Lahorites. He stated that these festivals are an excellent gift for the recreation of citizens.

This festival has now become an identity of Lahore and Pakistani culture is fully depicted in this festival, he highlighted. CM also paid tribute to the organizers of the Spring Festival for nicely organizing Spring Festival 2022.

Provincial Minister Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed, Spokesperson Punjab government and Special Assistant for Tourism and PHA Hasaan Khawar, Chairman PHA Syed Yasir Gillani, Principal Secretary to CM, Commissioner Lahore Division, Vice Chairman PHA Hafiz Zeeshan, DG PHA, Deputy Commissioner Lahore and concerned officials were also present on this occasion.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar while felicitating on Baloch Culture Day, has said the centuries-old culture and societal traditions of Balochistan contain norms of peace and hospitality.

In his message issued on Wednesday, the chief minister said the day was being celebrated in Punjab too and:” I extend heartiest felicitations to the Baloch people”, he added. “The purpose of celebrating Baloch Culture Day is to spread a message of love, brotherhood and unity among the people,” he said and added that promotion of inter-provincial harmony and intercultural harmony was the need of the hour.

“Nations thrive and grow that remember their cultural values,” he stressed. “All communities in Pakistan are united in the bonds of unity and affection,” he asserted.

The traditional Baloch culture enjoys a distinct identity as Balochistan has been the abode of civilizations.

The government would also celebrate other culture days to promote national unity and cohesion, he concluded.
