CJP in stable condition after angioplasty

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar underwent angioplasty at a hospital in Rawalpindi on Sunday.
The top judge was examined by RIC chief Major General (retd) Athar Kiyani prior to the surgery. The doctor told media that the operation was successful and the chief justice was in a stable condition. Angioplasty is a minimally invasive endovascular procedure that widens obstructed arteries to treat arterial atherosclerosis.
According to Mayo Clinic, the procedure improves symptoms of blocked arteries, such as chest pain and shortness of breath.
