‘CJ can’t get hold of offshore companies’ data’

Lahore—Chairman Standing Committee on Finance in the Senate Saleem Mandviwalla on Saturday stated that Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali cannot get his hands over any data regarding offshore companies as there is no law in the country that caters to the issues.
He said that Pakistan has not signed agreements with other countries regarding information sharing.
He said that Switzerland did not give information about former president Asif Ali Zardari and that former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani was reluctant writing to the Swiss authorities because of this deficiency in the country’s legislation. Mandviwalla said that the grand opposition will present its suggestions to the government regarding to the Panama Leaks investigation.
