Deputy District Health Officer Dr. Sheikh Amir Thursday urged the citizens to come forward and play a role to make the anti-dengue campaign a success.
Addressing a meeting held here at Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation office, he said all the departments concerned should make concerted efforts to eliminate dengue larva.
Among others, Additional Deputy District Officer Health Dr Amir Shahzad, Assistant Director PHA Faisal Ahmed and other officers were present on the occasion.
Dr. Sheikh Amir directed the authorities to remove stagnant water from open plots to avoid dengue threat.
He said, an awareness campaign against the disease should also be launched adding that it was duty of every one to play a role to make the campaign successful. He said, public parks and graveyards should also be focused in the campaign.—APP
