Chinese delegation calls on NAVTTC ED

Islamabad—In order to promote the cooperation and exchange in vocational and educational field between Pakistan and China, a four-member Chinese delegation from Tianjin University of Technology and Education (TUTE) called on the Executive Director NAVTTC, Zulfiqar Ahmad Cheema at NAVTTC HQs today. TUTE is famous for the cultivation of teaching staff for vocational institutes in China. The delegation comprised Ms. Zhai Fengjie, Director International Exchange Office, Mr. Xie Chao, Dean of Colleges of Further Education, Mr. Zhang Yuzhou, Director Engineering Training Center, and Ms. Simin Chen, Cultural Attache’ of Chinese Embassy.
On this occasion, Zulfiqar Cheema briefed the delegation about the recent initiatives of NAVTTC to introduce reforms in the current TVET system of Pakistan including establishment of Job Placement Center, etc. The Executive Director emphasized that the CPEC would open new vistas of prosperity and development and ensure employment opportunities for the people of Pakistan. He urged that both the countries should enhance their collaboration to reboot the TVET system in Pakistan.
The delegation extended their full cooperation and both sides agreed to take up co- projects like building the Center of Excellence and a teacher’s training program.
