Child labour

Safdar Ahmad Farooqi

Children are the asset of our country; they should enjoy their childhood and must not be pushed into hazardous jobs. Due to child labour the living conditions of children become deplorable and chances for their education come to minimal. The child labour has been legally eliminated in the high-income countries but unfortunately it exists in Pakistan. According to United Nation, International labour Organization (ILO) more than 218 million of boys and girls between the ages of 5-14 are working in the different fields.
Government has made many policies against child labour but these policies are not followed in their true letter and spirit. I request the government to pay attention toward it because these children are the future of our country
