Chairman PEMRA urges students to give priority to media ethics

Islamabad—Chairman PEMRA Absar Alam inaugurated the first day of SZABIST Media Gala arranged by the Department of Media Sciences Islamabad Campus.
The main purpose of the Gala was to display final projects of art, design, photography, print, journalism, theatre and TV and film production projects. Chairman PEMRA highly appreciated the efforts of the students, and praised the range and variety of projects showcased at the Gala. He was very much inspired from the whole idea and applauded the enthusiasm of students.
He emphasized on the code of conduct in Media and asked students to keep media ethics on priority when they will be working in field. He said, after visiting SZABIST media gala, he is very much hopeful now about the future of media. The Head of Campus of SZABIST University, Khusro Pervaiz Khan, media is the medium for promoting the education and the work of students of media department reflect that the future of Pakistani made is in safe hands.
In the Media Gala, students have presented their art projects in which they highlighted the socio-economic issues of Pakistan. Students made photography on the theme of “Be a Pakistani”, “Good Deed”, “Happiness”, “Sadness” and “Passion”.
The students also arranged hand-made traditional lassi, lemonade, Gol Gappay, Pan Stalls. This Media Gala is open to all that will continue tomorrow (Thursday). In the end of the event there will be very colorful event of Rand De SZABIST.
