CDA issues notice to Bahria Enclave for handing over 510 kanals of land

Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued notice to M/s Bahria Enclave, Islamabad to hand over possession of the identified land measuring 510 kanals and 6 marlas to CDA.
The civic body had issued notice under Section 49-C of CDA Ordinance, 1960.
It has been mentioned in the notice issued by Directorate of Enforcement, CDA that as a result of the demarcation of acquired land in Revenue Estate Kuri on September 12, 2018 that Bahria Enclave Administration was found to encroach 510 kanals and 6 marlas CDA acquired land and build illegal structures thereupon and it has also been intimated through notice, to Bahria Enclave Administration, that they hand over possession of the identified land measuring 510 kanals and 6 marlas to CDA and also remove illegal structures erected there.
In case of non-compliance of the notice CDA shall take possession of the said land and will demolish all the illegal structures build thereupon at their own risk and cost.
Meanwhile, CDA’s Anti Encroachment operation is continued in the city. Enforcement Directorate of the Authority is conducting operations against illegal construction and encroachments all over the city.
During the operation conducted in Doori Bagh and Dhoke Taile of Bari Imam area, Enforcement Directorate demolished several illegal constructions and retrieved several kanal of state land from illegal occupants.
The operation was also participated by the staff of Environment Wing and MPO Directorate while magisterial cover was provided by Islamabad District Administration. Heavy contingent of Islamabad police was also deputed to avoid any untoward situation.—APP
