Three armed dacoits looted hard cash, gold ornaments and mobile phone worth Rs.20 lakh in broad daylight from a Bungalow of Model Town situated some yards from District Police Office on Sunday. Sense of insecurity has prevailed in the district after increasing incidents of dacoities during last few weeks despite tall claims of district police to control crimes.
According to details, three armed dacoits stormed into bungalow of Malik Irfan in Modal Town Hafizabad situated on Gujranwala Road near District Police Office in broad daylight. The dacoits made hostage to all family and looted 12 tola gold ornaments worth more than 12 lakh and Rs.80 thousand cash.
Same dacoits also made hostage family of Mian Mazhar Hussain residing at upper story of the bungalow and looted Rs.12 lakh 35 thousand, seven mobile phones worth Rs. 2 lakh 40 thousand and fled away. Social, business and civil society have called upon District Police Officer Hafizabad to arrest the dacoits earliest and improve performance of the police for ensure protection of life, property and honour according to the responsibility of the police department.
Meanwhile lance Naik Amanat Ali Pehalwan was laid to rest with army honour in Kashmir Nagar graveyard on Sunday. He was died in road accident near Hafizabad.
