The Embassy of France, Pakistan has inaugurated the ‘Campus France Information Center at University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. This was stated by French Ambassador Martine Dorrance during her visit to the university where met with the Vice Chancellor, UET Peshawar Prof. Dr. Noor Muhammad, faculty a4nd students.
He said, the Campus France Information Center at UET Peshawar will serve as a hub to help promote development of cooperation between French and Pakistani scientific organizations, engaged in R&D programs in scientific and technology fields. This forum will have a Pakistan France Alumni Network, PFAN to start French language course and jointly conduct French language courses and cultural activities at UET Peshawar. Pakistani graduates particularly, women, and offers them an excellent opportunity to do research in France. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Noor Muhammad on the occasion thanked the French Ambassador and her team for opening the Campus France Center at UET Peshawar.
He assured all possible support from the University for the successful running. Dr. Muhammad Younas, Chairman Chemical Engineering Department, who will be the focal person for the new office speaking on the occasion, said this office will help the students of UET not only in learning French but also support students and faculty of UET Peshawar willing to go to France for study and research programs. On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Habib-Ahmad, Dr. Muhammad Abid, Pro-Vice Chancellor Peshawar University, alumni and scholars were present on the occasion.
