Calligraphic exhibition at RAC

Rawalpindi—Week long group calligraphic exhibition of young artists arranged here at Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) in connection with the sacred month of Ramazan would end on Saturday (June 18).
The artists who put on display their works were Neelofar Raja, Usman Mirza,Shah Nawaz, Lubna Khatoon, Muhammad Ali Imran, Muhammad Shakil Tabasum, Saif Ali, Humayon Khan, Zarfishan Fawad, Razia Shabir, Muhammad Imran, Humayon Kamran, Fazal Muhammad, Zafar-ul-Haq, Sajid Ali Sipra, Muhammad Israr, Sayadullah, Asma Younis, Imran, Salah-ud-Din Safdar, Mazhar Shahzad and Amna Latif. A number of calligraphy fanciers, artists, students from different art institutions visited the gallery where more than 50 art pieces were put on display.
The artists coloured oil on canvas calligraphy and water color caught the attention of the viewers at first glance.
Director RAC Waqar Ahmed thanking all the participants said, the exhibition has a lot to offer in terms of experimental work, new ideas and usage of ‘khats’.—APP
