CAA arranges emergency exercise

Larkana—Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) arranged one day ‘full scale emergency exercise’ to deal with any misshape including aircraft crash, outbreak of fire and other emergency situation here on Monday. Over 100 among personals of CAA, Paramedics, Edhi volunteers, firefighters of Civil Defense, TMA Fire brigade participated in exercise and demonstration, which was presented at airport runway and airport building, it was aimed to face emergency situation including rescuing operation, fire-extinguishing exercise during any incident with aircraft or passengers.
The Moen Jo Daro Airport is established in 1967 near World heritage Moen Jo Daro, geographically occupies 9 Kilometers total land runway and building, having capacity of landing bowing aircraft 737.a Due to prevailing security situation and terrorism threats to Airports in country, federal government has taken strict security measures and made full arrangements, but despite of that Moen Jo Daro airport is insecure and vulnerable in term of security because there is no boundary wall and barbwires at Moen Jo Daro airport often dogs and other animals appearing at runway which could lead to incident during the landing of plane.
