Buzdar suspends negligent officers during Vehari visit

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar paid a surprise visit to Vehari instead of going to Sahiwal city after inaugurating the wheat harvesting campaign in Chichawatni. He ordered to suspend CEO (Education), Chief Officer Vehari Municipal Committee and SHO Police Station Sadar on public complaints and showing negligence from duties. He also issued instructions to transfer DEO Elementary (Women) and start of inquiry against MS DHQ Hospital.
He raided the PS Sadar upon reaching Vehari and inquired the confined accused about their problems. I will take action if anybody has taken bribe from you, he said. He expressed displeasure over parking of motorbikes in the police station and directed to inquire about the issue of parking of such a large number of motorbikes in the police station.
He also directed to provide a complete detail in this regard. He directed that citizen should not be mistreated at pickets adding that concerned police officers or the officials will not stay on their posts on the complaint of corruption. People should not be illegally confined in lockups and the complainants should be redressed in the police stations. He suspended the SHO Imran Siddiqui of PS Sardar Vehari for showing negligence from duties.
Later, the Chief Minister visited the DHQ hospital where he inquired the patients and their attendants about the medical facilities and expressed displeasure over the complaint of receiving fee of medical tests. He directed to inquire about the matter and said that action will be initiated by identifying the responsible person.
