Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar went to the Circuit House Multan after attending the funeral prayer of Mazhar Abbas Raan MPA at Qadirpur Ran where he met with a delegation of notables of Multan, DG Khan and Taunsa Sharif. Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that a separate sub-secretariat is being set up to remove the backwardness of southern Punjab. Additional Chief Secretary, Addl. IG and secretaries of various departments will be posted there while an independent public service commission is also being established for the people of southern Punjab. A notification has been issued in this regard, he added.
He said that Multan-Mianwali road will be upgraded to dual carriageway. Meanwhile, building of safe-city project has been completed in DG Khan and Taunsa Sharif will be included in this project. The foundation stone of the cadet college in Taunsa Sharif will be laid during the next visit, he said. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar held a meeting with foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Circuit House. Provincial energy minister Dr. Akhtar Malik was also present on the occasion. Progress on different programmes aimed at the wellbeing of southern Punjab was discussed during the meeting.
Talking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that foundation of the prosperity of the common man has been laid by the government and added that work has been started for the first time for the development of different backward areas including the southern Punjab in the real sense. PTI has won a superb mandate in southern Punjab and we will honor it, he added.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also visited Nishter Hospital Multan. He went to different wards and inspected the medical facilities provided to the patients.
