Defence Day marked with enthusiasm
Karachi—As elsewhere, the defence day of Pakistan was marked in the metropolis on Tuesday with enthusiasm and reiteration of the pledge to defend the territorial integrity of the country.
Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, visited a defence day ceremony at the PAF Base Masroor here and reviewed the parade.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that September 6 was a memorable day as 1965 the brave armed forces of Pakistan frustrated the attack by the enemy.
Chief Minister said that in September 1965 war, the Pakistan Air Force had performed exceptionally well.
He said that our brave armed forces are always ready to defence the territorial integrity of the country. The Director General of Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Maj. Gen. Bilal Akbar, laid a wreath at the ‘Muqam-e-Shuhda at the Rangers Headquarters Sindh on the occasion of the defence day of Pakistan.
