Wednesday, April 14, 2010 – Washington—Scare was created Monday when an anonymous call was received that there was a bomb in the hotel here, where the delegates to the Nuclear Security Summit were staying including Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.

The second floor of the hotel was vacated where media persons from Pakistan accompanying the Prime Minister were staying. Media persons were taken to the lobby and the floor was thoroughly searched and later cleared.

Security alert was declared in the hotel and no one was allowed either to enter the hotel or leave it. Roads on three sides of the hotel were also blocked for traffic.

After thorough search the hotel was cleared and the call was proved to be a hoax.
