Blind murder traced; man held for killing uncle

Islamabad—Ramana police Islamabad has resolved a blind murder case and nabbed a person for killing his uncle over monetary dispute, a police spokesman said.
He said that Ramana police found an unidentified body from green belt area of sector G-10/1 on July 1, 2016 which had cut mark on neck. Later, a relative of deceased identified him as Ali Gul Leghari s/o Jamal Khan Leghari resident of Block No.3, Flat No.5 sector G-9/2.
A case was registered under section 302/34 on July 1, 2016 following which SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani assigned the task to Ramana police station to arrest the perpetrator of this act.
A police team started investigation and succeeded to arrest Khaliq alias Foji s/o Nabi Baksh, the nephew of the deceased who killed his uncle over monetary dispute.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to kill his uncle by shooting in his head when he demanded Rs. 6 million from him.
He said his uncle was driver at Ministry of Commerce and this amount was sent to him by his Uncle during his services for mission at Hong Kong. He also told the police that he cut the neck of his uncle, placed the body into his uncle’s car and dumped it at green belt area in sector G-10/1 after stuffing it into a bag. The car was later abandoned by the accused at Chungi # 26 and police traced it with the help of Safe City Cameras.
Police have got the physical remand of the accused from the concerned court and further investigation is underway from him.—APP
