BISE Peshawar clinch All Pakistan Boards Sports Gala

Hiseena of Mardan Board wins 2 golds

Peshawar—Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar excelled in the recently concluded All-Pakistan Boards Male and Female Sports Gala participated by 27 different boards at Jinnah Stadium Islamabad by winning overall trophy.
Out of 27 participating boards, BISE Peshawar secured 18 points, followed by BISE Lahore with 15 points at second and Federal Board Islamabad remained at third with nine points.
BISE Mardan and BISE Faisalabad were tied with four points each while BISE Swat and BISE Rawalpjndi got three points each. The national champion team of BISE comprising top ranking national table tennis players Kainat, Iqra and Nimra got gold medal in the girls Table Tennis event. Alongside Girls team BISE Boys team also won gold medal, followed by second position in Badminton and first position in athletic boys out of four disciplines part of the Sports Gala comprising Athletics, Badminton, Hockey and Table Tennis.
Talking to media persons, Director Sports BISE Peshawar attributed the BISE teams success as purely hard working of the players and support given by the Chairman BISE Peshawar. He said winning All-Pakistan Board titles is great honor for us. He said the board is contributed good to the sports and in future such efforts would be continued to support and facilitate the players.
Promising upcoming athlete Haseena Khan of Mardan Board shined in the recently concluded All Pakistan Inter-Board Sports Gala held in Jinnah Sports Complex Islamabad by winning two gold medals.
This was stated by Assistant Director Sports and former national hockey player Asiya Noor while talking to APP here on Saturday. Hasina, who also remained at best athlete of the Mardan Board, Inter-College Athletic Championship, Inter-District and Inter-Regional Games grabbed 100m gold medal and declared as the fastest athlete of the Pakistan Board Sports Gala besides winning shot-put gold as well. Asiya Noor said that the girls of Mardan Board have given good performance but the overall trophy was placed on both male and female performance therefore, they were failed to grab the overall trophy.
She attributed the Mardan Board success as players hard work and support given by the Chairman of the BISE Mardan like holding of the camps for the players before Pakistan Board Sports Gala.
She disclosed that Mardan Board also got silver medal in the field hockey and due to that stunning performance she was nominated as coach of the Pakistan Board Hockey team represents the Pakistan Board in the forthcoming National Hockey Championship.
Besides her enrollment as coach, she said five of the Mardan Board Girls Hockey team comprising Sajila, Salma, Hira, Madiha and Huma were also selected alongside two players from BISE Peshawar Hajra and Sonia in the Pakistan Board hockey team.
BISE Mardan, she said, got bronze medal in the Girls Badminton event and Urooj Ali, Amna Ali and Aysha Saleem played excellently against strong team from the other boards.
She said a total of 27 boards took part in these Games and winning gold, silver and bronze medals was par success of the BISE Mardan girls.
One of BISE Mardan player Urooj was also selected in the Pakistan Board team as well which a much satisfactory performance of our players, she further added. She also thanked Chairman BISE Mardan for his visit to the Gala for giving support to the BISE Mardan female players.—APP
