Peshawar—Left winger Bilal’s two quick goals rallies guided United Club to record 3-1 victory against Akhakhail Club in the ongoing 8th Right to Play District Mardan Inter-Club Football Championship being played at Younis Stadium on Wednesday.
The match started on fast tempo and both United Club and Akhakhail Club raided on each other defence with some fine moves were also witnessed. Akhakhail Club was unlucky, missing a penalty kick right in the 6th minute when United Club deep defender Sheraz wrongly intercepted Akhakhail striker Akbar Ali and referee Ali Rehman awarded them a penalty kick but it was wrongly taken.
The attempt of the mid-fielder of Akhakhail Sajid wend wide from the goal-post and thus United Club got control over the position of the ball by shattering rival defence. It was in the 19th minute when Bilal Khan netted a fine goal for United Club to make the tally 1-0. At half-time both United club was leading by 1-0.
In the second-half United managed their position but missed fired two easy goal scoring attempts. In the 53rd minute Akbar Ali succeeded in leveling the tally 1-1 in front of the large number of spectators witnessed the match.
In the 59th minute Balal scored another goal through field attempt and made the tally 2-1. After taking lead, United Club scored another goal through Ali Khan on the field attempt to make the tally 3-1. Thus United club won the match by 3-1. Ali Rehman supervised the match while Arsalan and Nawaz acted as deputy referees and Khair Ul Amin was the match commissioner.—APP
