Bikes impounded for one-wheeling

Islamabad—Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has impounded hundreds of bikes at various police stations during last seven days for one-wheeling by their riders and their involvement in rash driving and risky stunts on roads.
Special squads and teams of ITP remained patrolling in their respective assigned areas and Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Malik Matloob himself monitored action against traffic law violators, the police spokesman said.
ITP teams are continuously performing their duties on various points in Capital including Koral Chowk, KRL Chowk, Islamabad Club, Best Western police post, Rawal Dam Chowk, Aabpara Chowk and are trying to curb one-wheeling activity.
Police spokesman said that such efforts by the ITP have the only purpose to ensure safe road environment for the citizens of Islamabad and termed the cooperation of the parents vital to stop life-threatening stunts like one-wheeling and others.—APP
