Ban imposed on weapon display


District Coordination Officer (DCO) Salman Ghani under section 144 of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) has prohibited display of all types of weapons across district on ocassion of Eid-e-Milad Monday.
Under this order, sale, purchase and playing all types of audio/video cassettes comprising sectarian material, speeches, wall-chalking, aerial firing and distribution of hatred material in addition to posters, banners will also be prohibited on the Milad day.
A control room has been established at DCO Office to monitor and control all administrative and security arrangements across district on celebrations of Eid-Milad tomorrow (Monday).
Sufficient staff of various departments including TMAs, civil defense, health, waste management, Rescue 1122, WASA, PTCL, parking company, Sui Gas, FESCO and others will be available at control room on the occassion, a spokesman of the local administration said here on Sunday.
The control room would also monitor the movement of Milad processions through close circuit television cameras (CCTV) whereas the general public could contact the control room through landline numbers 041-9201491 and 041-9201492.—APP
