Balochistan Finance Secy held; Rs 603m, sensitive papers recovered

Quetta—A team of the National Accountability Bureau raided the residence of Balochistan Finance Secretary Mushtaq Raisani at 6 in the morning and recovered sensitive documents and Rs 603 million cash.
Three cash counting machines were called by the team from the authorities to count the cash found at the residence of Balochistan’s Finance Secretary.
Fake property documents worth millions were also recovered during the raid. Consficated currency is worth Rs 500 million and $ 200 million. Gold worth Rs 4 million and a bag full of important documents have also been taken into custody.
The NAB also raided finance department and arrested several officers including secretary Mushtaq Raisani over corruption accusation. The NAB raided the department located in civil secretariat and confiscated all the records.
The workers of the department protested over the raid and raised intense slogans against NAB. NAB spokesperson said that Mushtaq Raisani is involved in corruption worth millions of rupees in Public Sector Development Programme’s local government funds of 2015-16.
Moreover, NAB has also sealed all the rooms of finance department.
