Renowned Businessman Zafar Bakhtawari hosted a farewell ceremony in honour to the outgoing Ambassador of Bulgaria Roumen Pirontchev.
Zafar Bakhtawari highlighting the services and contributions of the outgoing ambassador paid him rich tributes. Excellency, you have rendered valuable services in strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Bulgaria. He said that Roumen Pirontchev.a prominent personality of his country and a well-known diplomat in his country and abroad, with rich work experience.
He informed that Roumen served 11 years as diplomat in Pakistan.He appreciated the efforts of Ambassador of Bulgaria for promoting bilateral ties and the initiatives he had taken to enhance cooperation and exchanges between the two friendly countries. Bakhtawari also extended best wishes for his personal and family life.
The event was attended by Ambassadors, Head of Missions and Pakistanis Businessman’s Members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood, Senator Lt. General (R) Abdul Qayyum, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan, Chairman, Punjab Board of Investment ,Ahsan Bakhtawari and Waqar Bakhawari also present on the occasion. Zafar Bakhtawari is quite famous for his hospitality and that was the reason the guest opted not to miss the occasion.
On the occasion Roumen Pirontchev said that “I sincerely hope that the information given in it will be useful for all those who are interested in the development of the relations between Bulgaria and Pakistan throughout the years and that it will contribute for the enhancement of the contacts between our two people in trade , economic area, cultural field, tourism etc”.
Ambassador informed that Bulgaria is ready to play its part in the development of Pakistan and will welcome any efforts to look for new approaches for mutually beneficial cooperation and for the broadening of the ties with Pakistan in various fields.
In January 2011 an intergovernmental Agreement on Economic Cooperation between our two countries was signed in Islamabad which envisages the establishment of Joint Bulgarian Pakistani Commission on Economic cooperation and without doubt the trade relations and economic ties between the two countries would grow further in the years to come.
He said Bulgarian peoples have expressed an earnest wish to enhance their friendship and I believe that Bulgaria and Pakistan will work more closely in the future to push forward our bilateral relation and strengthen our coordination and cooperation in the international affairs.
In the end of event Waqar Bakhatawari said that I consider it a great privilege to propose a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries who have witnessed it as a memorable and successful event. I wish for the long lasting friendship between Bulgarian and Pakistani people.
