Badar guides Pakistan blinds to series win against Sri Lanka

Islamabad—Badar Munir hit a blazing unbeaten double century to guide Pakistan blind team to a seven wicket remarkable win against Sri Lanka in the third One-Day International match at LCCA Cricket Ground Lahore.
The win also gave Pakistan a white-clean in the three-match series. Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first. Muhammad Ayyaz led the team as captain Muhammad Jamil could not due to injury.
Sri Lankan openers provided a solid start to their team as their first wicket fell at the score of 165 runs when Suranga Sampath was caught by Badar Munir on the bowling of Sajid Nawaz. He made 83 runs. Ruwan Wasntha continued his great form with the bat and scored 112 runs off 87 balls. Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 362 runs for the loss of seven wickets in allotted 40 overs. Rooh-ul-Ameen was the successful bowler for Pakistan as he took wickets, while Badar Munir, Muhammad Ayyaz and Sajid Nawaz claimed one wicket apiece.
Pakistan in reply lost their first wicket on just one run when Mohsin Khan was dismissed on a duck. Muhammad Ayyaz’s 18 ball fifty released the pressure, however he was run out after scoring 50 runs. But it was Badar Munir, who snatched the match from Sri Lankans.—APP
