I congratulate the Pakistani batsman Babar Azam for becoming the fastest Pakistani Cricketer to reach 1,000 ODI runs during the third ODI against Australia. The youngster moved to 1000 runs when he reached 47 not out against Australia in Perth on Tuesday, a record that was first set by Sir Richards in 1980. Azam achieved the feat in 21 ODI innings, leveling the record with Sir Viv Richards of the West Indies, Kevin Pietersen & Jonathan Trott of England and Quinton de Kock of South Africa who reached the milestone of 1000 runs in 21 innings.
Babar Azam also scored the quickest 1000 runs for Pakistan in the history of the Pakistan team. This is really a huge achievement for Babar Azim to carve out his name among the legends and it will be a great milestone for him. I applaud his achievement and wish him to set new records in the coming days and create a berth for him in the history of Cricket.
