Lahore—Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that the teachings of Baba Guru Nanak always promote love for humanity, peace and religious harmony. Punjab government welcomed all the Sikh Pilgrims coming from all over the world to attend the birthday ceremony. He said that Pakistan is a peace loving country, here every citizen without discrimination of religion, race and color have equal rights.
He said that minorities in Pakistan can celebrate their religious events with full freedom. Punjab government has arranged exemplary arrangements in district Nankana for Sikh pilgrims. Minister said that the atmosphere of religious harmony and tolerance showed by both Sikh and Muslims here at Nankana are exemplary for the world. He said that although neighboring country India is doing negative propaganda against Pakistan but the pilgrims reached here will get the message of peace, love and tolerance.
He expressed these views while participating the 548th birthday celebration of Gurdwara at district Nankana. Minister said that at the birthday of Baba guru Nanak, Punjab governments has announced local holiday at Nankana. He is here on the special instruction of Chief Minister Punjab to attend the ceremony. Sandhu said that every religion of the world teach to diminish hate, extremism and intolerance from the society. He said that every year thousands of Sikh pilgrims visits Pakistan.
He said that we should work together for the better service of humanity without any discrimination. Sandhu said that hospitality is the landmark of Pakistani nation, the people engaged in negative propaganda against us will face defeat.
