Karachi—Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar said that the government should pay attention to the ‘Karachi Development Plan’.
He was speaking to journalists outside the Sindh Assembly on Friday. “If Karachi develops there will be no need for NAP or the Karachi Operation,” he said.
He said that his party the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan wants to work with all political parties.
The mayor said that infrastructure of the city had collapsed and providing drinking water to people had become a challenge. “If Karachi prospers all of Sindh will prosper,” he said.
He added that visiting the Sindh Assembly after so long had brought back old memories.
He thanked PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for raising his voice for his(Wasim) release. He hoped that being son of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and grand son of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal would help in the development of Karachi.
