Attack on Kashmiri students in India denounced

In occupied Kashmir, the All Jammu and Kashmir Students Union (AJKSU) has condemned the attack on Kashmiri students studying in Indian city of Dehradun.
The AJKSU President, Syed Tajamul Imran, and spokesman of the Union, Nasir Khuehami, while expressing concern over the assault on the Kashmiri students in a college at Kanuwala in Dehradun urged India to ensure the security of the Kashmiri students.
“The attack on students in Dehradun by Hindu extremists and RSS goons is a worrying factor for the students and parents of Kashmir,” Tajamul said.
“We demand punishment to the elements involved in beating and harassing the Kashmiri students in Dehradun,” Nasir Khuehami, Union spokesman, said.
Kashmiri youth are not safe anywhere, whether it is Kashmir or in India, the statement added.
The Kashmiri students studying at CIMS College Dehradun told mediamen that a group of Hindu goons entered their hostel rooms and beat several of them. The students said that Indian police did not arrest any of the attackers and instead noted names of six Kashmiri students and returned.—KMS
