Deputy Commissioner Sialkot Dr. Nasir Mahmood Bashir has said that lasting peace can be established in the society by promoting an atmosphere of unity, brotherhood, fraternity, peace and harmony. Scholars and elders of all religions and sects must play a key role in achieving this goal. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the District Peace Committee Sialkot in connection with Muharram in the Committee Room of DC Office Sialkot. He further said that all agencies, including the district administration and the police, will cooperate with scholars and elders to maintain a conducive atmosphere of law and order.
