ATC remands MQM-London activists for 19 days

Hyderabad—Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Friday remanded the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London’s Rabita Committee member Momin Khan Momin and four others to the jail custody for 19 days. According to the details, Momin, Intikhab Alam Qureshi, Raheel Alam Qureshi, Tasleem Alam Qureshi and Imran Ghori were produced in the ATC in high security.
Advocate Shakeel Zai who represented Momin and others submitted the bail plea during the hearing after which the ATC scheduled hearing for the bail on December 3 while hearing of the case was slated for December 14. The Hali Road police on Oct 23 lodged an FIR and charged them with possessing explosive material and weapons.
Amir Iqbal, Zafar Rajput and Sharif Khan, former MQM Hyderbad zone in charges are absconders in the case. The five MQM-London supporters were earlier sent to jail on the judicial remand from October 24 to November 3 and later the remand was extended to November 25.—APP
