Three-day Asia Peace Film Festival (APFF) concluded here on Wednesday at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), spreading message of peace and harmony among different counties. The event was organized by Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage in collaboration with APFF.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Secretary Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Sardar Ahmed Sukhera said that bringing all creative people together from across the Asia was need of the hour.
He highly appreciated the chief executive of the festival Amjad Bhatti for proposing such a fruitful event and also lauded the teamwork of the organizers and praised the enthusiasm of the young volunteers. Sukhera said that it was very important for Asian countries to come closer to each other through such social and cultural events, because it would help them in developing better understand of each others’ values and issues.
He highlighted the importance of promoting more people to people contact among all the regions and countries of the Asian continent. Secretary Information said that the films showcased during the festival should be made available to media so that it reaches to larger audience.
