Asia Cup Cricket-2018

The 14th Asia Cup Cricket tournament will be played in the UAE from 15 to 28 September 2018. The six teams, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and the qualifier Hong Kong are taking part in the ODI format. Total 13 matches including a final will be played at Dubai and Abu Dhabi International cricket grounds. The teams are divided in two groups. Defending champions India, Pakistan and the qualifier Hong Kong are in the Group-Awhile Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are in the group B. The first match of the tournament will be played between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on 15 September at International cricket stadium, Dubai. The match between two arch rivals, Pakistan and India will start on 19 September at the same venue. It is a first time after the final of Champions Trophy 2017 when both teams will meet face to face again. Pakistan had defeated India by a record margin of 180 runs in the final of CT-2017 which was held in England and Wales. However, Pakistan cricket team is fully confident and favourite, after assumption of power by Imran Khan, himself an all-rounder Cricketer, to lift the Asia Cup 2018. The final of Asia Cup will be played on Friday, 28 September.
