ASI among others booked in kidnapping case

On the directions of DPO, police have registered a case against an ASI and others in robbery cum kidnapping case.
Police spokesman said Friday that accused ASI Jahangir of Phularwan police station along with his accomplices had allegdly abducted Ghulam Nabi, Muhammad Ali and Amir and demanded Rs 5 million ransom money for their release.
The ASI also threatened to register a drug case against them.
On information, DSP Bhalwal Circle Malik Usman recovered the abductees and arrested the accused ASI and others.
Police have registered a case and started investigation.
The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and Irrigation authorities have caught 37 people involved in electricity and water theft.
Police sources said Friday that the FESCO Task Force teams conducted raids at Shahpur and Sahiwal sub-divisions and caught 31 people including two women red handed over power theft from main transmission line.—APP
