Karachi—In connection with the Independence Day an Art Competition for students of Sindh would be organized.
This was announced by the Sindh Minister for Education, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar.
He was presiding over a meeting held here on Sunday in Sindh Secretariat.
The Minister Education told that in first phase the students of the schools with covering letters of their respective heads would submit their entries to district education officers and these education officers would send the names of two successful students, one from public and one from private school to their respective Regional Directorates till 10th August and a competition among these students would be conducted in Arts Council of Pakistan on 13th August.
Jam Mehtab added that first, second and third winners of the final competition will get one lakh, fifty thousands and twenty five thousands rupees as cash prize and appreciation letters respectively and CM Sindh will pay the amount from his own pocket.
He also told the meeting that Arts Council of Pakistan would form a jury comprised of artists of international reputation to decide the final winners while participants of final competition would also be rewarded with certain cash prizes and appreciation letters.
The Education Minister said the aim of such competition hone the talent.
