Army, Sindh, Wapda, Punjab in Netball semis

Islamabad—Army, Sindh, Wapda and Punjab on Wednesday qualified for the semi-finals of the 15th National Women Netball Championship being played here at the Hamidi Hall of the Pakistan Sports Complex.
In the matches played, Army beat Islamabad 32-8; Punjab beat Fata 27-7; Wapda beat KPK 48-0; Sindh got a walk over by LUMS and Islamabad beat Fata 13-4.
According to Mudassar Arain, President, Pakistan Netball (PNF), the first semi-final will be played between Sindh and Punjab while the second one will be played between Army and Wapda.
Muhammad Azam Dar, Director, Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), Raja Zulfiqar Director PSB and Ms. Shazia Asstt. Director PSB were the chief guests on the occasion.
The technical officials who supervised the matches included Maqbool Ahmed, Anwar Ahmed, Shazia Yousaf, Aisha Sher, Aisha Razak, Kahlid, Yasir, Shahid Amin and Uzma Waqar .
The results of the men’s netball championship were: Police beat Baluchistan 33-4; Sindh beat KPK 33-15; Army beat Baluchistan 48-2; Police beat KPK 37-10.—APP
