A captain of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom and four soldiers sustained critical injuries in Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasts one each in Mohmand and North Waziristan tribal districts on Wednesday.
A Pakistan Army captain was martyred and a soldier was critically injured during the process of neutralization when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off in Mohmand District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Reports said Captain Zarghaam Fareed, 25 was neutralizing an IED detected at Mohmad Gat area of the district along with Sepoy Rehan of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) when the device went off critically injuring both the men in uniform. They were rushed to the hospital where Captain Zarghaam hailing from Sargodha was pronounced dead while Sepoy Rehan was admitted in critical condition.
“Another son of soil laid his life while performing duty. Captain Zarghaam Fareed embraced martyrdom while neutralizing an IED detected at Mohmad Gat in Mohmand District. Sepoy Rehan of BD team got critically injured.
25 years old Captain Zarghaam was unmarried and belonged to Sargodha”. Tweeted Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor.
In the meanwhile yet another three security personnel sustained injuries in a landmine blast in Razmak subdivision of tribal district North Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.
