APNS pays tributes to Zahid Malik, names hall after him

All Pakistan Newspapers’ Society, a prestigious organization of newspaper owners, while paying tributes to late Zahid Malik, founder and Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, named a big hall after him at its annual general meeting here Thursday.
Mr Malik was always held in high esteem by friends, colleagues, for his professional competence and a very high degree of courtesy and mannerism and will be remembered for lasting times.
In elections for the office-bearers and Executive Committee, Pakistan Observer bagged highest number of votes, 93, which again was an eloquent tribute to late Mr Malik’s sagacity and his popularity.
Mr Faisal Zahid Malik, his eldest son who succeeded him in the coveted position of Editor-in-Chief of Pakistan Observer, published from Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta, bowed in humility to God Almighty for the honour done to him, and also to Mr Zahid Malik by members of the APNS at the AGM.
