In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference asking the pro-India politicians to shun their fraudulent and deceitful politics has said that the Kashmiri people while pursuing their rightful cause have presented unprecedented sacrifices and are fully aware about all those stooges helping the forced occupation.
An APHC spokesman in a statement in Srinagar while referring to resistance movement and sacrifices presented by the Kashmiris said that since 1931, six lakh people were massacred and properties worth billions destroyed. “These sacrifices were not offered to support any particular party or dynasty,” he added.
The spokesman criticized the former puppet chief minister and pro-India National Conference leader, Omar Abdullah, for his remarks against the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani. He said, hypocrisy and treachery is the trait of National Conference. “People and particularly youth are fully aware of the treacherous role played by NC leadership. The NC since its inception has been playing deceit and folly and people of Jammu Kashmir are fully aware of its role,” he said.
The spokesman said, the life and contribution of Syed Ali Gilani is an open book. He asked all pro-India local parties and their leadership to study entire record of so-called Kashmir Assembly and see that Syed Ali Gilani has never accepted Jammu and Kashmir as an integral part of India.
The spokesman while defining the role played by Muslim United Front and its participation in the elections held in the occupied territory in 1987 said, “MUF in a civilised and democratic way of achieving freedom, participated in those elections; however, through mass rigging, Indian authorities denied this democratic right and with the full support and blessings of New Delhi, NC grabbed power, particularly for their folly and bullying.”
The APHC asked Omar Abdullah to explain about the “freedom mission” his grandfather followed and that “when did Syed Ali Gilani begged for a berth in power corridors”. “Syed Ali Gilani dedicated his entire life for the sacred cause of Kashmir’s freedom and even at ninety is pursuing this mission with full dedication,” he said, adding, “Sheikh Abdullah played with the sentiments of his people to secure material gains for his dynasty. We will never allow anybody to play with the sentiments of people.”
Meanwhile, the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, in a statement paid rich tributes to the youth, Tayyeb Majeed and Ashiq Hussain, who were martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Handwara on Monday. He said that the Kashmiri youth were laying down their precious lives for a sacred cause and the Kashmiri people would continue their mission till it reached its logical end.—KMS
