ANPL spends day at SOS Children Homes to re-energize hearts, minds and walls


AkzoNobel Pakistan Limited (ANPL), a leading global paints and coatings company visited the SOS Children’s Homes on Ferozepur Road Lahore to welcome the spring with a fresh burst of color for the 18 homes operating in the facility.
Volunteers from AkzoNobel took paint and equipment over to the neighbouring facility and invited the children from the homes to take part in refreshing their living spaces.
The project was part of ANPL’s global ‘Human Cities’ initiative and the activity reinforced the company’s commitment to dedicating resources and volunteers to re-energize our community, our sense of purpose, pride, and happiness. Certainly, this was true for the children of the SOS homes who delighted in the activity.
The Chief Executive of ANPL, Mr. Jehanzeb Khan also participated in the activity and spent a hands-on morning with the children to help them redecorate their home. Commenting on the initiative, Mr Khan said, ‘SOS Childrens Homes have been a close associate of AkzoNobel for many years. We take pride in the contribution we make year after year for the betterment of the SOS Children Home, its community and residents.
Being here in person not only deepens our bond as organizations but brings our people closer to the lives they touch and shows them how they embody our purpose of making people’s lives colourful, liveable and inspiring’.
Ms. Almas Butt, Director of SOS Lahore said ‘AkzoNobel has always honoured its duties as a neighbour and as a contributor to the positive development of society. Their trust and commitment to our cause has made them a part of these children’s lives.
