Another Congo case under observation

Multan—Another case of congo virus reported from Nishtar Medical Institute (NMI) is under observation at isolation ward, here on Tuesday.
Waqar Aziz, resident of Laar, a suburb of Multan was admitted to Nishtar Medical Institute (NMI) with a complain of fever, a source at health facility said.
He said that Waqar had been kept under observation because his platelets were on falling trend. When contacted, Focal person for infectious diseases at NMI, Dr Kamran Adil said that the patient belongs to Laar, Multan. “The case of Waqar Aziz is malaria. His platelets are low so we have kept him in isolation for observation,” added Dr Kamran.
It is worth mentioning here that three family members of Naseem Bibi who was tested positive for Congo on Friday night, were already under observation at NMI.—APP
