“Bazam-e-Nudrat-e-Fikar” held its annual celebrations and to mark the works of young individuals especially females in their respective fields of works, arts and literature in a local hotel. It also marked the 71stIndependence Day celebrations of Pakistan for which shields and awards were handed out to individuals who have done remarkable works in their respective fields.
Speaking at the occasion, the chief guest Shazia Bilal Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, expressed her concerns that even after 71 years of independence of the country, we are unable to liberate the majority of our women population from their real problems.
She identified forced marriages, domestic violence, child custody, acid attacks etc. as the real problems leading to suppression of females in our society. She stressed the need to work for the Pakistani female community in European and Scandinavian countries, including Norway, Sweden and Denmark where a large majority of the victims in their crisis centers are from South Asia.
In the end, the chief guest presented shields and medals to the young talents for their contribution in the society. Delicious gourmet added to the delight.
